Join us on this special day as we welcome Alan Meades to the Arcade Archive.
Alan is perhaps the topmost authority on the history of arcade games in the UK and has compiled his work in the book "Arcade Britannia", an essential read for any arcade enthusiasts. His research has focused on his childhood love of British arcade culture. He has rescued long-lost arcade games, interviewed arcade game designers, arcade owners and industry veterans, and worked with SEGA and BACTA (the arcade industry trade body).
He has also held lectures on the topic around the world including at Stanford University, New York University, The University of Malta, and institutions in Norway and Germany, and spoken on the subject at various international conferences.
On this special day we're delighted to host Alan as our guest speaker and learn all about the very unique history of the British arcade.
