Join us for a day celebrating British software house Gremlin Graphics with fellow retro gaming enthusiasts.
We'll be sharing the day with Mark Hardisty, the author of "A Gremlin in The Works", an exhaustive history of Sheffield's videogame publishing powerhouse, Gremlin Graphics (http://agremlinintheworks.co.uk/).
We'll also be joined by Richard Stevenson, former coder at Gremlin who'll share stories from the inside!
The day will include:
• A special talk from Mark and Richard on the History of Gremlin Graphics, the games, the highs, the lows and the inside story
• The Gremlin effect, other games to come from Sheffield
• Time to chat with Mark and Richard informally and pick up a signed book
• Full access to The Cave and Arcade Archive to explore and enjoy
• A chance to meet other patrons, Neil and Alex and chat about all things retro
• Lunch included in the price of your ticket
• An open invitation to join us for dinner and drinks in Stroud in the evening
Snacks, sweets and soft drinks are also available. (Please note, The Cave operates on a cashless basis; only card payments are accepted.)
We look forward to welcoming you to The Cave and Arcade Archive, a retro technology haven in the heart of The Cotswolds.
The Cave is located on the 4th floor of an 18th-century mill, and there are approximately 40 steps up to its entrance. Unfortunately, due to the listed nature of the building, there is no elevator.
Please note that the toilets are located on the 3rd floor and are only accessible via stairs.
