Tim Gilberts is the founder of Gilsoft, set up in the early '80s with his Sinclair ZX81, Tim found success writing text adventures, and then authoring tools to allow others to create their own, most famously, The Quill and its successor, Professional Adventure Writer.
Join us for a day in The Cave and Arcade Archive with Tim who will give a talk on his life in the industry, an industry he's still very much an active part of 40 years later.
The day will include:
• A talk and chance to chat with Tim (bring your software for him to sign!)
• Full access to The Cave and Arcade Archive to explore and enjoy
• A buffet lunch
• An invitation to join us for dinner in Stroud after the event
Snacks, sweets and soft drinks are also available. (Please note, The Cave operates on a cashless basis; only card payments are accepted.)
We look forward to welcoming you to The Cave and Arcade Archive, a retro technology haven in the heart of The Cotswolds.
The Cave is located on the 4th floor of an 18th-century mill, and there are approximately 40 steps up to its entrance. Unfortunately, due to the listed nature of the building, there is no elevator.
Please note that the toilets are located on the 3rd floor and are only accessible via stairs.
