This is a collection of drivers for vintage hardware, as collected and contributed by the upstanding members of the VOGONS Forums.
Malik. A legendary individual, created a thread on VOGONS with a curated list of links to Creative Sound Blaster drivers stored on file hosting sites like MegaUpload and MediaFire, and all was well.
Then an apocalypse started to unfold, beginning with the death of MegaUpload, and other sites bulk deleting stuff. Half the links in the classic thread went dead, over the space of a few weeks, if not days!!
To restore sanity, we needed a solution. So on the 30th of November 2011, I created this site, just as an experiment. One which turned out to be popular within the forum! It was extremely basic at first, but over time grew more sophisticated, and gained a broader audience.
And the rest, as they say, is history!
I never imagined something I created would become so widely-known and utilised. Nothing describes the feeling of knowing something I made has helped so many people with their retro PC projects!
So to the VOGONS crew, and to the broad retro computing community, I give my most sincere thanks. The smiles on y'all's faces make it worth it! <3
