The Isle of Wight Vintage Computer Club is a brand‑new monthly meetup celebrating classic computer hardware and retro gaming. We’re bringing vintage computers and consoles back to life for a relaxed, hands‑on evening of play, chat, and nostalgia.
Monday 11th of May and Monday 15th of June
Free entry Quay Arts, Newport
Setup at 18:00 – Finish 22:00
We’ll have a selection of vintage computers and classic consoles already set up and ready to go. You’re also very welcome to bring your own retro hardware—whether it’s something you’re proud of, a rare curiosity, or just a system others should experience.
We’ll have CRT TVs and monitors available for plugging in your kit.
Whether you grew up with 8,16 or 32-bit classics or just want to see what you missed, this is a laid‑back space to play, share stories, and enjoy the machines and games that shaped us.
We are enthusiastic and hugely nerdy, but there is absolutely zero gatekeeping. Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience level.
Children are welcome, but must always be accompanied by an adult.
The seminar room is just through the main café, and Del keeps the bar open for us. Entry is free thanks to Quay Arts, so if you can, we suggest grabbing at least a Coke from the bar (no expectations!).
