Kickstart UK Amiga Expo 3.0 returns in 2026 as the ultimate celebration of Amiga, retro tech, and the Amiga community. Following the huge success of the first two events, this year’s show moves to Derby, offering a brand new larger venue, cheaper accommodation, 100 free parking spaces with additional low-cost parking nearby, and a convenient location close to the airport.

Kickstart is a unique Amiga event that blends nostalgia and innovation, showcasing new hardware and software, creative projects, gaming, and talks from leading names and developers across the Amiga and retro scene. We also cover other retro systems and last time we even had Atari machines and the ZX Spectrum Next!

The weekend opens on Friday with a full day of panel talks, live hardware demonstrations, and community sessions designed to get everyone into the Kickstart spirit. It is the perfect chance to meet friends old and new, explore early exhibits, and enjoy a lively social atmosphere as the event begins. The evening features an exclusive VIP meal in the city where guests can dine and mingle with special guests, developers, and Amiga legends.

Saturday brings the main expo, a massive showcase filled with traders, user groups, gaming areas, demos, and talks that celebrate everything Amiga and beyond, all in one huge space with a separate talks room upstairs.

This year’s venue is bigger and better than ever, featuring a state of the art sound system, three giant projection screens, and everything under one roof. The space is air conditioned, fully accessible, and includes a bar and outdoor food trucks to keep everyone fuelled throughout the day. The venue is within walking distance of Derby train station, and local hotels are very reasonably priced.

When the expo wraps up, the celebrations continue with an unforgettable Saturday night afterparty that only Kickstart can deliver. Held in the city, it will feature live performances from world famous retro and Amiga musicians, keeping the energy going late into the night.
